Rosy Sunrise Cooler

It is summer time, a time when sun is blazing at its peak and you cannot even imagine stepping out of your house in this sweltering heat without the fear of sunstroke. On the positive side, its time for long summer vacations for the kids, visiting grandparent's house, enjoying ice-creams, chilled fruity mock-tails and slushes without the fear of being scolded upon. Today I am going to share the recipe for one such colourful summer drink "Rosy Sunrise Cooler".  This drink is inspired from "Tequila Sunrise Cocktail" consisting of tequila, orange juice and grenadine syrup. The drink is named as "Sunrise" because of its gradations of colours resembling a sunrise.
I am going to make a non-alcoholic version using the ingredients which are readily available at home or nearby grocery stores. This drink not only tastes good but also looks so delightful that you just cannot resist it visually. It is wonderful choice for summer pool side parties or as a welcome drink for the guests.

Ingredients: (One Serving)

  • Rose Syrup/RoohAfaza- 3 tbsp
  • Orange Juice/ Orange Minutemaid - 200 ml
  • Soda water- 100 ml
  • Ice Cubes- 4 to 5

Steps To Prepare:

In a tall glass, add some rose syrup first.

Then tilt the back of a spoon on top of it and gently pour orange juice over it as shown in the below image. Do not add juice with a thud or in one go as both the layers will get mixed.

Add soda water and ice cubes. Decorate it with a slice of orange.
