Seasoned Potato Wedges In Air Fryer

Good evening to all the blog readers!! Today me and my hubby decided to convert our home into "home theatre" and watch a good movie. After much of discussions and "Nos and Nahs" we jotted upon "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" for viewing. The second question arised on what to eat for the snacks during movie. Popcorn is sure part of the menu but "Aur kuch bhai Hona Chahiye" was the whole point. So, I made these crispy and spicy "Seasoned Potato Wedges" :D .

List Of Ingredients:

  • Large Potatoes-3
  • Salt-1 and 1/2 tsp (or to taste)
  • Dried and crushed oregano- 1 tsp
  • Black Pepper-1 tsp
  • Red Chilli Flakes-1/2 tsp
  • Cornflour- 2 tbsp
  • Olive Oil/Refined Oil-1 tbsp

Steps To Prepare:

Peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges.

Dissolve 1 tsp salt in a  bowl containing approximately half litres of water. Soak the potatoes in salt water for 20 to 30 minutes.

Dry the potato wedges on a kitchen towel so that all its moisture is removed.

Add all the potato wedges in a bowl. Add oil, cornflour, dried oregano and red chilli flakes to it. Mix well so that all the spices stick to the potatoes.

Preheat the air-fryer at 180 degree celsius.

Place the seasoned potato wedges in air fryer's basket and let it cook for 15 minutes at 180 degree celsius. Pull the basket out and give a good shake every 5 minutes. You may also brush some oil while shaking or can increase the cooking time as per your preference of browning. Sprinkle salt over it at the end.



Crispy Seasoned potato wedges are ready to be served!!

Serving Suggestion:
Serve them with a Mayonnaise Dip or Tomato Ketchup.

  • For making potatoes more crisp, cut them as french fries. This will increase the surface area for cooking.
  • To add garlic flavour to the wedges, add chopped garlic to the oil and keep it aside for an hour. Use this oil for brushing the wedges.
